Bahrain Development Bank Collaborates with Kaaf Humanitarian Organization to Support Families Impacted by Floods

Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), the leading bank supporting the Kingdom’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), has partnered with the Kaaf Humanitarian Organization to assist families affected by the recent floods in the country. BDB has made a financial contribution to support repair and renovation works to rebuild homes that were extensively damaged by the heavy rainfall. Additionally, the Bank’s employees will volunteer their time to aid in the reconstruction efforts.

This initiative aligns with BDB’s commitment to social responsibility as the Bank strives to make a positive impact within the community by supporting those in need. In collaboration with Kaaf Humanitarian, BDB conducted a comprehensive study and assessment to identify the families that would receive relief through this initiative.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ali Al Aradi, BDB’s Chief Banking Officer said, “We are deeply committed to the Bahraini community and constantly seek opportunities to offer our support. In the spirit of giving back, we have partnered with Kaaf Humanitarian to assist families whose homes were severely damaged. We hope our contribution will help alleviate their suffering by ensuring safe and secure housing.”

Kaaf Humanitarian recently launched the urgent relief campaign, which involved collecting information on the families and providing them with immediate assistance. An online platform was developed for afflicted families to register for support and the requests were then reviewed by a dedicated team of Kaaf personnel to determine the extent of the required aid.

Driven by a strong sense of responsibility towards the Kingdom, BDB actively contributes to impactful community initiatives that address various challenges faced by the Bahraini community.
