Bahrain to host 4h meeting of Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development will convene its fourth meeting in Bahrain on June 10-11.   

The panel will review the latest industrial projects implemented within the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, comprising Bahrain, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. 

Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, welcomed Bahrain’s hosting of the important event aimed at achieving ambitious goals. 

He emphasised the importance of the partnership among the member states and the positive results it will yield in achieving visions, aspirations, and sustainable economic diversification in light of global developments. 

The member states aim to achieve sustainable industrial growth through resource integration and competitive advantage. This involves reducing costs, securing supply chains, providing qualitative opportunities, contributing to economic development, and self-sufficiency, in addition to enhancing growth and industrial competitiveness. 

New agreements are expected to be announced during the fourth meeting for the aim of strengthening partnership, empowering the industrial sector in five countries, and increasing its contribution to their GDPs, in addition to supporting supply chains, reducing costs, and creating new job opportunities.

The Higher Committee’s meetings will be preceded by the Executive Committee’s meetings on January 10, with the participation of committee heads, members, and industrial companies from Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. 

The Executive Committee aims to submit a final report detailing the latest developments and achievements in empowering the industrial sector in the member states.
