Bahraini enterprises successfully secure regional and international partnerships following participation in the Saudi Food Show

Three Bahraini exhibitors established multiple partnerships to expand into regional and international markets as a result of their participation at the “Saudi Food Show” recently held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 21 to 23 May, 2024.

The Labour Fund Tamkeen, with its strategic partner Export Bahrain, sponsored the participation of 15 local businesses at the largest international food and beverage showcase in Saudi Arabia.

Following their participation, Shell Fisheries signed a partnership agreement with international company “Foody’s Food” to supply the fish used in their frozen products while “Amalfi Foods” signed a contract with “Galaxy Food” to export products to the United States.

Meanwhile, Dallaspresso, specializing in tea and coffee production, reached agreements to expand into Saudi Arabian and Jordanian markets.

Tamkeen Chief Executive Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez toured the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion at the event in addition to the pavilions of neighboring countries to gain insights into regional and international experiences in addition to discuss possible collaborations enabling Bahraini F & B enterprises to expand and grow to global markets. This in turn will contribute to the development of that vital sector, further raising its positive contribution to the local economy.

For her part, Ms. Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, Chief Executive Officer at Export Bahrain, confirmed that Export Bahrain’s second consecutive participation in the Saudi Food Show exhibition reflects the progress of exporting activities within the Kingdom, notably it’s impact on national businesses in the F&B sector and their rapid growth and development. Stressing the importance of investing in local F&B establishments, within Export Bahrain’s keenness to develop their export readiness so that they can expand and take on global markets and enhancing the competitiveness local products.

The exhibition presents a valuable opportunity for participating enterprises to gain local, regional, and international exposure, explore the latest developments and trends in the F & B industry, exchange ideas as well as build relationships and partnerships with enterprises from around the world.
