Gulf Air celebrates inaugural flight to Türkiye’s Bodrum

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, held a celebration at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) to mark its inaugural flight to Bodrum, Türkiye.

In attendance were Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed Al Alawi and other members of the airline’s executive management, as well as representatives from Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and leading travel agencies.

Captain Al Alawi said: “Adding Bodrum to our selection of summer destinations opens up exciting opportunities for Gulf Air and our customers. Brimming with history, culture, and stunning natural scenery, the city is home to many popular beaches and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

He added: “With two flights per week from BIA, our customers can now experience this remarkable destination and all it has to offer for themselves. I thank our team members for helping to make this new route a success and for their commitment to ensuring we provide a safe, reliable, and comfortable travel experience for our customers.”

The introduction of this new route to one of Türkiye’s most popular tourism hotspots was announced last week, alongside many other leading summer destinations, further bolstering the airline’s growing network.
